Here's the step by step process I followed for my Dyson Airstrait review.ġ. From top to bottom, these are: the heat mode, the fan speed, the cold mode, the wet/dry mode, and the on/off button. There are five buttons on the Dyson Airstrait. To be honest, this tool is so intuitive to use that I didn't even need to read the instructions. The Dyson Airstrait screen conveniently displays the mode/setting and temperature. According to Dyson, the machine's arms contain glass bead thermistors that regulate airflow temperature up to 30 times per second, thus preventing the device from emitting too much heat and protecting the hair from damage. Even my stylist noticed I had significantly less breakage at my last haircut appointment. I've been using the Airstrait every single time I shower for a month now, and my hair looks shinier and feels softer than ever. When I set out to start this Dyson Airstrait review, I truly did not expect to love this product so much. With my straightening iron, I usually have to set it to 325-350 degrees in order for it to work effectively - which obviously can cause more damage to my already overprocessed strands. I also appreciate that I was able to achieve such smooth, pin-straight results without ever going above the 285-degree setting. With my traditional routine of blow drying and flat ironing, it takes closer to 35-40 minutes.

In 15 minutes flat, my hair went from damp, wavy, and frizzy, to dry, straight, and sleek. The first thing that impressed me about the Dyson Airstrait is how much time it shaved off my styling routine since it combined two steps - drying and styling - into one. Right: Here's my finished style, after using the Airstrait for just 15 minutes. Left: Here's what my hair looked like after air drying.
